Fire Flowers are items from the Super Mario franchise. They're powerups that bestow fire shooting abilities to anybody who collects them. They appears as a Guest Object in the Wii U and European 3DS versions of Scribblenauts Unlimited.

They have 1 HP and will be destroyed if they take any damage.

Like other Nintendo guest objects, Fire Flowers cannot have adjectives applied to them, and cannot be edited with the Object Editor.

Behavior

Fire Flowers are items that can be collected. When collected, a special sound effect from the Mario series plays and different effects are provided depending on if the flower was collected by Mario or Luigi or by somebody else.

When Mario or Luigi touch the Fire Flower it gets destroyed and transforms them into either Fire Mario or Fire Luigi. This gives them a new appearance and the ability to shoot special bouncing Fireballs as an attack that deal 20 damage instead of their usual 5. They lose the ability and return to normal once they take damage.

When Fire Flowers are used by someone that isn't Mario or Luigi, it isn't destroyed and doesn't transform them. Instead, the Fire Flower is picked up by them, and can be used as a ranged weapon to shoot the same bouncing Fireballs used by Mario and Luigi, which still deal 20 damage.

The Nintendo characters able to be given Fire Flowers are Mario, Luigi, Toads, Peach, Yoshis, Goombas, Link, Zelda, Sheik, Tingle, Beedle, Gorons, Dark Link, and Ganondorf. Except for Mario and Luigi, all of them use the Flower as a ranged weapon.
