Custom Objects refer to objects in Scribblenauts Unlimited and Scribblenauts Unmasked that are not present in the game naturally, and are instead made by players.
These objects are made by a player using the Object Editor, where it can then be used. Players can also share their custom objects, and download objects made by others by using Punctuation Plaza, the Hero Creator, or the Steam Workshop.
Custom objects are spawned in-game by entering the object's name as a custom word, where they then can be interacted with like other objects.
For unknown reasons, both the 3DS and Mobile versions of Scribblenauts Unlimited, as well as the 3DS version of Scribblenauts Unmasked lack the ability to create custom objects. However, the feature is present in all other versions of the games, including the ones seen in the Scribblenauts Mega Pack.
Creating Custom Objects
See: Object Editor
Custom objects are made in the object editor, where players can manipulate existing objects. They can edit the parts of objects, as well as add new parts from other objects in the form of "stamps". Parts can also be manipulated and moved, scaled, and layered to match what the user would like. Players can also paint their custom object various colors, and can apply an assortment of textures to them as well.
The player is limited to a set number of parts per object, and although this limit is relatively high, they are unable to go over it. Some object creators in the past have worked around this limit by making objects with multiple parts. For example, a common solution is to make an NPC in two parts, one being the NPC's "Body" and the other being an NPC's "Head". When using The objects, the player would need to spawn both the body and head, and then have the body "wear" the head.
Custom objects can also be made unique in a gameplay aspect, instead of just a visual one. By editing the object's properties, players can freely modify it's statistics using a robust system. The general tab allows players to modify common stats like health, weight, gravity, what objects react to it as, and more. Other tabs exist for several other functions as well, such as how the object interacts with fire, how it works as a weapon, and how it moves. The player is also able to modify the object's behaviors, and even make small custom scripts that can be triggered as well. In Scribblenauts Unmasked exclusively, the player is also able to give objects superpowers, though many of these must be unlocked with Reputation Points first.

Trivia
- In the Object Editor Trailer for Scribblenauts Unlimited, it is implied that the custom "Clownthulu" spawns the custom "Blue Present" object. However, having Custom Objects spawn other Custom Objects is not possible in the final game.
