Boos are mischievous ghostly enemies seen in the Super Mario franchise. They like to haunt mansions and scare people, but they are also shy and tend hide their faces when looked at directly. They appear as Guest Objects the Wii U and European 3DS versions of Scribblenauts Unlimited.

Boos have 100 HP and deal 5 HP per hit when they attack.

Like other Nintendo guest objects, Boos can only be given specified items, cannot have adjectives applied to them, and cannot be edited with the Object Editor.

Behavior

Boos prefer not to attack and will follow Mario, Luigi, and the player while expressing the FollowEmotion emotion. Mario and Luigi become scared of this and run away, which results in the Boo chasing them. Boos are otherwise harmless to all other NPCs and don't attack unless they are provoked.

Boos prefer to just scare Mario and Luigi and don't actually harm them. However, Boos can be dangerous towards the brothers when paired other Mario series enemies, even weak ones. This is because Boos make the brothers too scared to fight back against the other enemy, allowing the enemy to freely attack them.

Boos will also pick up any Super Mushrooms they see while expressing the StealEmotion emotion. They do not use the Mushrooms on themselves, and instead simply pick them up.

Unlike in the Mario series, Boos do not react to being looked at.
