A Rocket is an explosive projectile shot by certain vehicles and weapons, such as the Rocket Launcher. If spawned on their own, rockets function as normal explosives.
Arcade Machine Minigame
In the Arcade Machine minigame in Super Scribblenauts and Scribblenauts Remix, rockets are fired at blocks, which the player must prevent by tapping the rockets to destroy them before they make contact. Normal gray rockets move slowly and only destroy one block, but red rockets move faster and destroy not only the block they hit but all adjacent blocks as well. If a rocket gets past the blocks and reaches the bottom of the screen, the player loses the minigame.
Appearance
The original rocket appears as a small, gray missile with gray fins in the back. Red variants of these rockets are also used within the Arcade Machine game in Super Scribblenauts and Scribblenauts Remix
The rocket was redesigned in Scribblenauts Showdown, now having a red tip, large red fins in the back and smaller red fins closer to the front. This redesign is later seen in the Scribblenauts Mega Pack version of Scribblenauts Unlimited, but strangely the original design is still used in the Mega Pack version of Scribblenauts Unmasked.

Trivia
- In Super Scribblenauts, the rockets used in the Rocket minigame have a different sprite than normal, using less color. This is to reflect limitations of 8-bit hardware, which often limits sprites to only 4 unique colors at once (which became only 3 if transparency is used.)
- Both the normal and red rockets used in the minigame in Super Scribblenauts Minigame accurately reflect this limitation. The normal rockets use Black, Light Gray, White, and Transparent, and the red rockets use Black, Red, Light Red, and Transparent.
