The Pliosaurus is a carnivorous, hostile prehistoric aquatic reptile that lived during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Pliosaurs are closely related to Plesiosaurs, and the word Pliosaur actually spawned a (long-necked) plesiosaur until Scribblenauts Unlimited, which made the real pliosaur spawned only by using the synonyms.
Synonyms
- Liopleurodon is another pliosaur genus.
- Ichthyostega (misspelt Ictyostega) is, strangely, a totally unrelated genus of basal tetrapods that has a closer semblance to a "fat lizard".
- This seems to be due to a certain negligence on the part of the developers, who wanted to include the word but placed it on a totally unrelated creature.
