A Particle Accelerator is an apparatus for accelerating subatomic particles to high velocities by means of electric or electromagnetic fields. The accelerated particles are generally made to collide with other particles, either as a research technique or for the generation of high-energy X-rays and gamma rays.

Within the Scribblenauts realm, it creates a Black Hole when interacted with. A Scientist will become interested with any particle accelerator. A Mad Scientist, however, will interact with it, causing a black hole to form.

• The Particle Accelerator creating a black hole reflects a common misconception that the Large Hadron Collider, the world's largest Particle Accelerator, would create a black hole capable of destroying the Earth if it were operated.
  • In reality, the LHC is considered extremely safe by the scientific community. While it theoretically could produce a microscopic, black hole in specific conditions, it would decay almost instantly and pose no risk to Earth.
