Old Sprite
The Escape Pod is a small, secondary, emergency-use vehicle used to evacuate from the main vehicle during times of danger. Escape pods typically only hold one person, though sometimes they hold a smaller group. Escape pods commonly appear in many different science fiction stories, but have only been used in a small number of real vehicles.
Appearance
the in-game escape pod is large and metallic. It seems to be made for space travel thanks to it's jets and seemingly has enough room for only one person.
Uses
The escape pod has had multiple different behavioral changes between games. In general, it has 30 health points, weights the same as an calf and sinks on water. It takes damage from fire and conducts electricity.
In the first Scribblenauts game the escape pod could only be used as a large container.
When spawning the escape pod in the air in Super Scribblenauts, and Scribblenauts Remix it uses it's jets to slow it's fall, and once it's landed the escape pod spawns an astronaut. After landing, the escape pod no longer falls slowly.
Starting in Scribblenauts Unlimited, the escape pod functions as a vehicle be ridden and flown similar to other flying vehicles such as the plane.

- In Scribblenauts Remix, the fire effect is glitched when the escape pod is landing, and appears as four black circle outlines instead.
